My these grapes are sour

"Mavericks owner Mark Cuban claims in an ongoing dispute with his former coach that Don Nelson used "confidential information" to help the Golden State Warriors pull off a stunning first-round playoff victory."

Umm, since when does making 62 three-pointers and winning by 12, 18 and 25 constitute cheating? Maybe it was your 'MVP' averaging 19.7 ppg and choking just as hard as he did last year against the Heat in the Finals.

I am well aware that playoff shenanigans take place, what with the NBA conspiring against my Kings in 2002 and stuff. However, other than a cash grab scenario like that was, this is just stupid.

What is 'confidential information'? Did he know that Dirk is allergic to shellfish and then have a ballboy squirt crab juice into his gatorade? Maybe he knows that Jerry Stackhouse is in fact not a man, but instead the leader of the bat people of Southern Romania and found some way to exploit that. I don't know.

Jerry Stackhouse

Anyways, Cuban has found a way to make himself look even more foolish and lame. Bravo!

I hate Warriors fans, but this picture is just classic given this obscene new turn...

while i agree that cuban's argument is inane, i don't really see how you can (rationally) still think the NBA had an agenda against the kings in 02.
a) no excuses for game 7
b) lakers shot 15 more FTs than the kings in game 6. Kings shot 10 more in game 5, and 20 more in game 3 (20! i just realized this. that's insanely huge). kings had more fta in the series than the lakers. If game 6 was fixed, why weren't the others?
c) i'll agree that bibby's face fouling kobe's elbow was a horrendous call, but i think that is more from refs giving the home team more calls than any larger agenda. in every sport the home team/superstar gets the benefit of the doubt. in this case, there was no doubt and it was one of the worst single calls i've ever seen, but one call does not decide a series in basketball.
d) maybe the lakers secretly paid vlade to tip the ball to horry in game 4.
e) Lakers fans always make the (perhaps valid) point that game 5 was rigged towards the Kings bc the NBA wanted a good series. i think you're all on crack.
f) everyone in the country (outside of socal) was rooting for the kings. what's the agenda there?
g) you had a 5 year window to win a title, and once the lakers weren't even involved. lakers got most of the calls in ONE game, but that's not an excuse for the other losses. minnesota? really?
h) in conclusion, pants.

i guess since you're a kings fan you'll never be able to look at it objectively, so i should probably just delete this post.
